Kelsall Football Club has been meticulously planning the development of its training pitch at the Field of Dreams over the past few weeks. As the club prepares for major renovations, including upgrades to the large pitch and the addition of a clubhouse, efforts have been focused on cost-saving measures to bring football back to the Field of Dreams during the winter months.
One of the key developments has been the installation of new floodlights on the training pitch. Positioned at the far end of the pitch, these floodlights will be ready for use in the 2025/26 season, enabling evening training sessions during darker months.
The floodlight installation was a joint effort by Tommy Astbury and Daniel Eagle. On Saturday, December 21, 2024, Tommy utilised equipment from GTM Heavy Rentals, including a digger and spider lift, to prepare the path for the armoured cables. The work was completed in a total of 12 hours and is now fully operational.
GTM Heavy Rentals, a trusted partner in this project, provides a comprehensive range of powered access platform rentals and equipment hire solutions, including cherry pickers, scissor lifts, boom platforms, and plant hire.
